Try Jodo, a Japanese martial art focused on flexibility, body control, and fluid movement. The training combines physical activity with Japanese tradition and culture, and everyone is welcome regardless of experience.
SDU Bevæger Sig invites all employees to join a weekly squash activity every friday 1:30-3 PM. If you are looking to get your heart rate up, challenge yourself and have fun with your colleagues, squash is a great choice. The game is played on an enclosed court where the ball is constantly in play, creating plenty of movement, pace and good laughs along the way.
Come alone or bring your colleagues for a game of badminton every Thursday 3:45-6 PM. You set the pace on the court, giving you plenty of opportunity to challenge yourself or simply enjoy a friendly match.
Join your colleagues for an outdoor run in the beautiful natural surroundings around SDU every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 AM. The runs are adapted to the participants’ fitness levels and pace, so you can choose to push yourself a bit more or simply enjoy a relaxed run in good company. No registration is required.
Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese martial art that is based on your inner strength and calmness. During the classes, we go through meditative movements (the form that gets a large part of our focus), Qi Gong, self-defence, partner exercises and pushing hands (if there is interest in it).
As an employee at SDU, you have access to SDU's swimming pool during selected hours. So, get out your swimwear and take a few laps in your preferred swimming style. Whether you want to work out or just relax in the water, a refreshing experience awaits you.
