Microsoft Store closes on SDU computers
As part of SDU’s work on IT security, access to Microsoft Store will be closed on 27 October 2026 on SDU’s Windows computers.
If you need to install an application on your SDU computer, you must download it via Company Portal.
In Company Portal, you will find the applications that SDU makes available and maintains for use on SDU’s Windows computers.
What does this mean for you?
- You will no longer be able to download and install applications from Microsoft Store.
- Applications that SDU makes available must instead be installed from Company Portal.
- If the application you need is not available in Company Portal, you must contact SDU IT.
The change is being made for security reasons and will help ensure that programs on SDU’s computers are installed and managed in a controlled way.
