Translation and proofreading
Get help from Language Services with proofreading, linguistic advice or translation between Danish and English.
What do we offer?
You can submit scientific articles, funding applications, press releases, guidelines/instructions, reports, presentations, exam regulations, etc.
Our services are free for all SDU employees (including PhD students), i.e. SDU must be your primary workplace.
Orders are only received via our order form.
- Proofreadring: Max 10,000 words per order (excluding reference list).
- Translation: Max 8,000 words per order.
Note: You may not split up a text exceeding 8,000 or 10,000 words into multiple orders.
We do not offer:
- authorised (stamped) translations, such as legal documents.
- transcription of audio recordings.
- translation/proofreading of private documents.
- subtitling services. For English/Danish subtitles in videos ind Danish, please contact Marianne Havndrup at maha@tv2.dk. Note: This is a paid service.
SDU's translation tool
You can use SDU's AI translation tool for short texts for use within the organisation.
The tool is based on artificial intelligence combined with SDU’s glossary and ensures consistent translation of the names of departments, institutes, centres, and units in the Central Administration – in both Danish and English.
The tool does not replace professional linguistic quality assurance.
Order translation and proofreading
Orders are processed in the order we receive them. Please place your order well in advance of your desired deadline.
