Components for frequently asked questions

Here are some suggestions for components you can use to display questions and answers in a clear and user-friendly way. It's a good idea to place FAQ sections at the bottom of the page. FAQ sections can improve both SEO and AI searchability. Make sure questions and answers are relevant to the topic of the page.

Fold Out List

Fold Out List is used to display questions and answers in a compact, fold-out view - directly in the body text. The component's headings fold out individually and provide a good overview without the page feeling heavy. It resides globally and can be inserted in all article text fields across page types and rows.
Use the Fold Out List for short, specific questions and answers that are closely related to the rest of the page content. Each item can include a read more link if you want to guide the user to more information.

Where have my frontpage news gone?

On SDUnet there will no longer be a dedicated news-box on the frontpage showing your personal news. Instead, you will find your personal news on the news list belonging to your faculty, department or centre.

If your unit does not have its own news list, you have the option to read the general news for all employees at SDU instead.

Where have all my “Favourite links” gone?

On the “new” SDUnet, it is unfortunately no longer possible to create personal links for specific pages, and the links you might have saved earlier have been removed during the transfer of SDUnet.

If you often use specific pages but have a hard time remembering where to find them, we suggest that you bookmark the pages in your browser.

Foldout Icon Box

Title

Fold Out Icon Box works as a fold-out component for questions and answers. It is similar to Fold Out List in structure, but allows you to add an icon and background colour or outline to give the content more visual weight. Each section can be expanded with a read more link to guide the user further. The component cannot be used in regular text fields and should therefore be placed in Row 12, for example.

Use the Fold Out Icon Box when you want to end a page with a clear and visually labelled FAQ. It works well for gathering typical questions in an easily recognisable format - especially on pages with guides, processes or practical content where the user expects help at the end.
