Confidential paper

Technical Services helps with proper disposal of shredded paper.

How is confidential paper handled?

Confidential paper should be shredded as soon as possible. The unit itself is responsible for shredding the paper. You can also choose to collect the paper and send it for external shredding. Please note: Paper for shredding should be placed in a dedicated container or sack in a locked room. Please also note that paper in your recycle bin is not automatically shredded. All shredded paper is recycled.

Who is responsible?

The unit

The unit is responsible for ensuring that all users in the unit are familiar with the applicable guidelines for handling confidential paper. It is also the unit’s responsibility to ensure that all users are familiar with how to operate a shredder and that the shredded paper is collected in paper bags. Finally, all users in the unit should be informed that they should contact 8888@sdu.dkwhen the bag containing confidential paper is full.

Technical Services

Technical Services is responsible for picking up full bags of shredded paper and storing them in a locked container at SDU. Marius Pedersen disposes of confidential paper on behalf of Technical Services to an authorised receiving facility.
