Cleaning
- All cleaning is carried out at reach height (180 cm), unless otherwise stated. Cleaning above reach height takes place 4–10 times annually
- Thorough floor-washing and vacuuming of carpets means from wall to wall.
- Cleaning floors and carpets means removing visible stains and dirt.
- Only free surfaces are cleaned. It is the user's own responsibility to ensure that these surfaces are cleaned on the days marked on the door sticker.
- Tea towels in kitchens are replaced twice a week.
- Extra cleaning can be requested via 8888@sdu.dk .
- All cleaning at all SDU addresses is carried out between 5am to 6pm.
- In meeting and teaching rooms, toilets, classified laboratories and teaching laboratories and canteens, cleaning must be completed before 8am.
- Offices, general laboratories, kitchens and common areas are cleaned after 8am.
- The day(s) and type of cleaning are stated on stickers placed at all doorways.
Cleaning before, during and after events that are part of ordinary business can be ordered with 14 days’ notice via 8888@sdu.dk.
If Technical Services is involved in the event planning, cleaning is ensured.
In week 28 up to and including week 30, week 52 and 2 days before Maundy Thursday, there is no full cleaning. This only applies to SDU Odense. Please note: the toilets are subject to light cleaning only. Only certain toilets are included in the schedule, and some are therefore omitted entirely.
Light cleaning of offices, kitchens and laboratories includes:
- Dusting of clear surfaces.
- Cursory floor tidying.
- Floor stains are removed (no washing of floors).
- On carpeted floors, cursory floor tidying/light vacuuming is performed as needed.
- Emptying of waste in laboratories and kitchens.
Light cleaning of toilets includes:
- Wiping down the sink, mirror and shelf.
- Wiping down other sanitation.
- Replenishing of toilet paper and soap.
- Emptying of waste bins.
What should I take care of?
- Tables, chairs and other surfaces must be tidy and accessible to cleaners.
- Shelves and bookcases must be cleared if they are to be cleaned.
- Wiring must be removed from floor areas.
- Give cleaners space to do their jobs.
- Personal items/objects and room decoration.
- Flower care and watering.
Window cleaning
Windows are cleaned twice a year.
