How new students are prepared for life and studying in Denmark
Study start is just around the corner, and as always new students are flocking to SDU not only from all over the country, but from all over the world. We welcome the 396 new exchange students and more than 1000 full degree students who will spend their days in Esbjerg, Kolding, Odense or Sønderborg.
Every semester, the faculties and SDU Student Services host welcome events for all new international students. At SDU Odense, Orientation Days are held on the last two weekdays before the start of the semester for all new exchange students in Odense. The Orientation Days include a general welcome as well as a specific welcome by each of the faculties.
During August, online Orientation Days, including a Teams group and online presentations, will be held for all full degree students at SDU Odense to help prepare the new international full degree students for their new life in Denmark and at SDU before they come to Denmark. The international study start for full degree students organised by the faculties and the individual study programmes will still take place physically at the campuses.
As we bid welcome to all the new international students, SDU International is also sending more than 430 students on exchange to our superb partner universities around the world.
