About students

Are you aware of changes in the student population?

Activity on all campuses

A new and exciting semester is beginning, and with it comes a wave of new students – in one form or another. Some students are stepping into SDU’s universe for the first time and will help shape a completely new study environment. Others are moving to a new environment within SDU’s walls and have a unique opportunity to develop their potential in new surroundings. Last but not least, the solid work with associations and student engagement will still continue at the campuses whose student population has not increased this year.

  • At SDU Esbjerg, where until now the campus has been dominated by business economics students, we now also bid welcome to students on the new bachelor’s programme in Law.
  • At SDU Odense, it is New SUND’s integration into the campus that is bringing a flow of ‘new’ students, many of whom have previously been used to frequenting the corridors of Winsløwparken.
The integration of New SUND has been a long process, and in this connection a big thank you must go to colleagues, students and student associations for their dedication and proactive approach to shaping a new study environment.
  • At SDU Sønderborg, the student population is expanding considerably as a result of an increased intake, in part due to more students on SDU’s engineering programmes.

Abundance of student associations

SDU is endowed with an abundance of student associations, all of which play a valuable role in the student environment, especially at a time when changes in the student landscape are afoot.

Contributions to the study environment, e.g. through association work or questions about starting an association, are more than welcome and can be directed to SDU’s association administration in SDU Student Services at studentorg@sdu.dk.

Did you know that...?

When an association is formally registered, it will be presented on MySDU. After registration, the association can apply for association support, benefit from a variety of SDU’s facilities or get help and guidance about the association’s work in general.
