Rules for maternity allowance
From 1 August, new rules have come into effect.
Since 1 August 2022, new rules have come into effect in relation to maternity allowance for students who have a child during their education.
The student can receive up to 9 months of maternity allowance. If they are a single parent, they can receive up to 12 months of maternity allowance.
