About the area
Bikubenfonden acquired Svanninge Bjerge during the period 2005-2008 and Høbbet in 2013. Bikubenfonden’s vision is to create a 'natural and landscape historical monument'.
In Svanninge Bjerge, you have the opportunity to experience the fores’'s wildlife and plant life up close all year round and gain insight into the fascinating history of the landscape, shaped by past ice masses.
Access to the area
Svanninge Bjerge is managed and owned by Bikubenfonden. You are welcome to visit the area, but please be aware that you must follow the rules for access in privately owned forests.
For larger groups (more than 25 people), the person responsible for the event must contact Bikubenfonden well in advance via email at info@svanningebjerge.dk regarding permission for activities in the area.
As this is a private forest, other considerations must be taken into account, including research and the overall visitor pressure, and it may be necessary to obtain a special permit for specific activities in the area.
