Kuheli Dutt

Kuheli Dutt is the Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at MIT’s School of Science, where she oversees DEI efforts and activities for the School. Prior to joining MIT in 2021, Dr. Dutt served as Assistant Director for Academic Affairs and Diversity at Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, overseeing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. As a scholar-practitioner with a PhD in public policy from Northeastern University, her research interests lie in implicit bias, gender, race, LGBTQ+ awareness and STEM diversity. Dr. Dutt has published in journals such as Nature Geoscience, Scientific American and The Lancet, and her research and work has been extensively covered in both national and international media.
