(Previously held session) Webinar: The Cancer Mission – This is what you need to know about the Mission

What: This webinar presents the Cancer Mission and the possibilities for Danish institutions to apply for funding for research and implementation. If you wish to learn more about this and meet successful Danish researchers with cancer mission projects, please join our webinar 12 June 2023.

 

We will dive into the Cancer Mission, which makes it possible for researchers to apply for funding for projects on all stages of cancer research. From understanding of the illness, to diagnostics and handling of patients and their families. The mission is one of five EU missions which should find concrete solutions to major European problems.

At this webinar, you will hear from the European Commission the reason for the missions and you will meet successful Danish researchers who will share their experiences with cancer mission projects.

The speakers will be:

  • Head of Sector Annika Nowak from the European Commission
  • Professor Søren Tollestrup Askegaard from South Denmark University
  • Professor of Clinical Oncology Ulrik Lassen from Rigshospitalet and University of Copenhagen.

The webinar will be hosted by the Danish National Contact Points for Health, Horizon Europe Cluster 1,  Anne Overgaard Jørgensen and Emma Winther

 

Who:  Researchers from Danish universities, patient associations, hospitals, university colleges, regions and other institutions, who want an insight into and understanding of the cancer mission as well as regional EU offices and other EU advisors.
