SDU Bevæger Sig
SDU Bevæger Sig to continue until 2031
Following a successful 2026 edition of SDU Bevæger Sig, there are plans for further events and initiatives for SDU staff, as the scheme has been extended.
There is good news for everyone who enjoys an active break and spending time with colleagues: SDU Bevæger Sig has been extended until February 2031. This means that staff across the university will continue to be able to come together for exercise and social activities with colleagues in the years to come.
The extension follows on from this year’s Exercise Day, where 68 activities across five campuses and 801 registrations set a new record. From racquet sports and dancing to walks and circuit training, there were plenty of opportunities to try something new and meet colleagues from across departments.
‘SDU on the Move’ is more than just the annual Exercise Day. Through regular activities and one-off events, the initiative creates opportunities to incorporate exercise into everyday life and strengthen collegial communities. This is achieved with the help of dedicated instructors and more than 100 exercise ambassadors, who spread the message and inspire colleagues to get involved.
The steering committee for SDU Bevæger Sig welcomes the extension:
- We are delighted that SDU Bevæger Sig can continue. The initiative has been buoyed by impressive support from staff across the university. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with SDU’s more than 100 exercise ambassadors and our large team of dedicated instructors. Together, we will create even more opportunities for staff exercise and make physical activity a natural part of the working day at SDU.
