Understand Your Royalties

Tekst & Node Royalties

If you hold the copyright to a work or part of a work that is copied or scanned for use at educational institutions, you may be entitled to royalties from Tekst & Node (formerly CopyDan).

How to do it:

  1. Register with Tekst & Node.
  2. Register your work and follow the instructions for reporting and payment.

Public Lending Right

If you have published or been a co-publisher (author, translator, illustrator, composer) of a work that is available at Danish public libraries, school libraries, or on eReolen, you can receive compensation under the Public Lending Right (PLR) scheme.

How to do it:

  1.  Register for the PLR scheme with the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces.

Important to Note:

There is no guarantee that you will receive royalties or library payments each year. This depends on how frequently your works are used at educational institutions, how usage is reported, and — in the case of library royalties — how often your works are borrowed.
However, if you are not registered in the schemes, you cannot receive any royalties at all
