Skill plan

AGREE ON SKILLS DEVELOPMENT – Discuss needs and wishes for skills development, make a plan and share responsibility for specific initiatives between manager and employee. Agree on how to follow up.

As part of the performance and development review, or in immediate continuation of the review, a skill plan is drawn up for the employee. You can use the template on the right.

Inspiration for skills development

Find inspiration for skills development in SDU’s strategies for career and skills development for academic staff (VIP) and technical/administrative staff (TAP).
See the skills development programmes at SDU and under the auspices of AEU (the universities’ collective continuing education programme).

However, avoid a one-sided focus on courses and consider how skills can also be acquired through assignments, sparring, job rotation, etc. Consider what gives meaning and value.
