Service type: Research servers
Standard provision includes: Researchers for whom it is relevant can be provided with a research server from SDU IT, which SDU IT will operate. SDU IT can provide a small virtual server, either Linux or Windows Server, free of charge. In addition, we will install the OS and provide access with either RDP or SSH from the SDU network. SDU IT will set up an automation to keep the OS updated and to protect and monitor the server. The researchers will then have to install and maintain the applications on the server themselves. Individual server adaptations are made in collaboration between SDU IT and the researcher.
Extra services: If you would like something beyond our standard delivery of research servers, please contact us – we will be happy to advise you on tailoring a research server to your needs.
Please note about research servers: We do not carry out application hosting on research servers. Researchers are responsible for this themselves.
