Via kvaser.analytics.sdu.dk, all employees can access SDU's analysis portal.
If an employee holds one of the 500 licenses, they can access web reports with more advanced functionality and design a detailed view themselves, while employees without a license can view more predefined simple web reports, as well as access excel sheets and analysis notes in PDF format.
If you wish to obtain a license for SDU's analysis portal, you must write to dataadgang@sdu.dk to explore the possibilities.
If you have not been assigned a user license for SDU's analysis platform, you still have access to a range of information. We are continuously expanding the list of information that does not require a license.
Materials that can be accessed without a license are physically available on SDU's analysis platform, meaning that licensed users access the same products. It is solely the format of the products that determines whether a license is required.
Some web reports are restricted, either due to sensitivity or due to the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
If you wish to gain access to a restricted web report, please write to dataadgang@sdu.dk with your immediate supervisor in cc and specify the purpose of the requested access.
For the sake of SDU's it security, you must be logged into SDU's network as an employee to access SDU's analysis portal.
Check that your Cisco client on the computer has activated the VPN connection to SDU's network.
There may be situations where CRM removes a license. If this happens, you should write to dataadgang@sdu.dk, who will help re-establish the correct restricted access permissions.
SDU analytics shares an overview of the current license allocation with selected individuals in the main areas, enabling them to ensure that the relevant employees have access.
Additionally, access control is conducted semi-annually to confirm that the conditions for access to the restricted web reports are still met.
SDU analytics does not remove a license unless a prior agreement has been made with the employee's main area.
All licenses for SDU's analysis portal are temporary. There is a limited number of licenses, and they must align with actual usage.
If you do not use the portal for a period, your license may therefore be revoked so that a colleague with greater need can gain access.
If you already know that you will not need your license write "no thanks to license" to dataadgang@sdu.dk.
SDU has only 500 licenses, which we prefer to be used by those with the greatest need.

There may be situations where CRM removes a license. In such cases, you will not gain access to https://kvaser.analytics.sdu.dk/, even if your VPN connection is active. Once you have verified that the VPN connection is active, please write to dataadgang@sdu.dk, and we will restore your license.
The error is often caused by an incorrect address. Check that the URL is: https://kvaser.analytics.sdu.dk/
If the error persists, check your VPN connection to SDU's network or write to dataadgang@sdu.dk.
All information available on SDU's analytsis portal is for internal use at SDU only.
If selected information is to be used externally, prior approval must be obtained from the Head of SDU analytics by contacting sduanalytics@sdu.dk
The display of information on SDU's analytsis Portal is in accordance with the description of responsible use of data in SDU analytics.
In 2026, SDU analytics will test a new technical solution for the portal. The goal is to remove the license limitation so that all employees in SDU analytics can have the same type of access from 2027.
Data foundation and data quality in the analysis portal
When leaders and employees can find the same, updated figures in one place, the risk of uncertainties and methodological discussions is reduced. The Analytics Portal thus supports a principle of single source of truth, which is well-documented in public governance.
From a broader perspective, the Analysis portal is therefore not just a technical platform and efficient operation of analytical support, but an organizational infrastructure for shared understanding and more cohesive decisions to promote the university's strategic development.
A robust solution with a focus on data quality
The analysis portal is technically built on well-consolidated data foundations and well-tested and transparent technologies for the creation and presentation of web reports.
It is a deliberate choice that the selected technology is strong in terms of analysis, reproducibility, and documentation, which is crucial when data is used as a basis for management decisions.
SDU's analysis portal was launched on November 1, 2021, and the approximately 200 web reports have more than 60,000 visits annually. SDU Analytics continuously works to improve data quality and performance.
SDU analytics therefore continuously works to simplify and standardize the views – not as a technical exercise, but as a shared professional and managerial concern, where definitions and interpretations are explicit.
