Help SDU benefit from your research

Researcher IDs help connect researchers, publications, and institutions across systems. It is therefore important that your researcher profiles in ORCID, Scopus Author ID, PURE, and Web of Science are regularly updated.

When researcher IDs are used correctly, they help ensure that:

  • SDU is correctly linked to its research outputs
  • publications are attributed to the right researcher and institution
  • SDU’s research can be found in international databases
  • research data can be used reliably in rankings, analyses and reports
  • SDU can document its research strengths in funding and strategic contexts

Why correct affiliations matter

They help ensure that SDU receives proper recognition for its research.In a recent Elsevier analysis from spring 2026 of Danish research performance, SDU achieved the highest Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) among Denmark’s largest universities. Accurate researcher IDs and affiliations make it possible to document and showcase results like these in rankings, research analyses, funding contexts, and external communication.
