At SDU, we encourage early dialogue when questions or doubts arise about research ethics and integrity. In many cases, the best support is found within your own research environment, where colleagues and leaders have close knowledge of disciplinary practices and norms.

You can seek guidance through:

  • Your supervisor, research leader, or line manager is often the most natural place to start. Leadership at SDU is based on clear direction, open dialogue, collaboration, inclusion, and professional development. You can expect guidance, support, and a space for constructive discussion.

  • In the Danish university context, union representatives play an important and trusted role. They can offer confidential advice and support, including in matters related to research practice and working conditions.
