SDU to offer new education programme

The Minister for Higher Education and Science has approved new education programmes

By SDU Education, , 6/25/2026

SDU can look forward to a new 75 ECTS master's degree programme. The first students are due to be welcomed in September 2027.

The following has been approved:

Master's degree programme in Digital Communication and AI at SDU Odense

The aim of the programme is to equip the next generations to think critically about a digital sphere that increasingly consists of digital communication, artificial agents and artificial intelligence, and to understand how digital communication and artificial intelligence influence and transform our lives as individuals and as a society. The programme takes a methodological approach rooted in the social sciences, but incorporates perspectives from other research disciplines, as a fundamental understanding of digital communication, technological infrastructures (including programming), quantitative methods and ethical standards are essential for navigating such a landscape.

Graduates will enter the labour market as socio-technical experts capable of leading, analysing and advising on projects involving the implementation of digital communication and artificial intelligence. Graduates will have a particular focus on people as the ultimate centre of these technological transformations and will meet a growing need among businesses and institutions for staff who can balance the advantages and disadvantages of this next technological revolution against human, ethical and societal considerations.
