Research with EPICUR

The EPICUR Alliance strengthens research by connecting researchers across its partner universities and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. Researchers can develop joint projects and address complex societal challenges in a European context.

Seed Funding

A central opportunity within EPICUR is its seed funding schemes, which support early-stage collaboration between researchers across member universities. These grants enable researchers to explore new ideas, build international partnerships, and generate preliminary results, which can provide a strong foundation for larger external funding applications and long-term research cooperation.

Early Career Researchers Board

EPICUR also places strong emphasis on supporting the next generation of researchers through initiatives such as the Early Career Researchers Board (ECRB).

The ECRB brings together early career researchers from across the alliance and gives them a voice in shaping EPICUR’s activities and priorities. By contributing to governance and providing input on new initiatives, members help ensure that EPICUR’s research and training opportunities are relevant, inclusive, and aligned with researchers’ needs.

For researchers at SDU, EPICUR offers access to a broader European research environment, creating opportunities to build networks, develop competitive proposals, and engage in collaborative research.
