Division of responsibilities

Teaching evaluation involves several stakeholders, each responsible for different parts of the process. Study boards, heads of studies, lecturers/course leaders and study coordinators all contribute to planning, conducting and following up on evaluations.

  • Draw up a schedule of evaluations for the programme
  • Formulate and approve (for at least one year at a time) the three optional questions  for the written final evaluation
  • Prepare a procedure for handling cases where the follow-up note is not submitted
  • Support the implementation of relevant adjustments and initiatives in the teaching of the courses

  • Conduct an oral alignment of expectations at the beginning of the course and an oral mid-term evaluation  for all course runs
  • Motivate students and allocate teaching time for the written final evaluation  
  • Prepare a consolidated follow-up note after the written final evaluation
  • Adjust teaching practice and initiate relevant initiatives where appropriate

  • Set up the final evaluation in EVAL
  • Prepare material on teaching evaluation ahead of study board meetings
