Inform the Secretariat at fkf@sdu.dk on the first day of sickness and again when you are back at work – sickness form must be filled in and returned to Mette Søndergaard.

We only need a doctor’s statement in special cases.

Children: You can stay at home on your child’s 1st and 2nd sickness day.

Holidays in Denmark:

25 normal holidays (concurrent holidays)
5 special holidays (earned year 1, spent year 2)

Special conditions for 4+4 PhDs: The first two years you do not register your holiday in HCM, as you are considered on terms of a regular university student. The last two years is of ordinary employment, you are required to register the days in HCM.

If you have been working somewhere else (in Denmark) before coming to SDU, you will have vacation money available at www.borger.dk.
