What share is allotted to you as a researcher:
An amount corresponding to 10% of the total grant is deducted from the overheads to cover the project fee. The Department of Clinical Research and the Department of Regional Health Research must pay a project fee to the Rector for all external grants. This amounts to 10% of the total grant, regardless of whether the foundation provides an overhead to cover this. If no overhead is applied for, the department must cover the project fee to the Rector.
The remaining overhead is then distributed with 50% allocated to the researcher’s free funds account and 50% allocated to the department.
Calculation example:
Grant: DKK 500,000
Overhead 120%: DKK 600,000
Grant incl. overhead: DKK 1,100,000
Project fee (10% of grant incl. overhead): DKK -110,000
Remaining overhead ( DKK 600,000 - 110,000): DKK 490,000
Overhead to the department 50%: DKK 245,000
Overhead to the researcher 50%: DKK 245,000
