Viden.ai


Viden.ai is developed and maintained by Per Størup Lauridsen, IT specialist and educational technologist, and Claus Scheuer-Larsen, Associate Professor and IT manager. While affiliated with Odense Technical Gymnasium, they run this site independently due to their passion for technology. All materials and news can be accessed by various levels within the education sector.

The site encompasses research, reviews of different generative AI products, and reflections on the application and ethics of AI in education, both in teaching and examinations. The site is divided into a public area accessible to everyone, and a closed members' area. The public area provides general information about various examples of AI used in education without delving into the technical details, which are reserved for members. Membership is free, and sharing content with students is discouraged.

AI in Theory and Practice is developed and maintained by Elisabeth Muth Andersen, Associate Professor of Danish Language and Communication at SDU, who is currently pursuing a master's degree in data science. The site focuses on introducing AI technologies, providing guidance on getting started and developing good habits when using AI, and offering insights into how AI technologies are used in qualitative research.

The site is based on research with references, as well as examples of applications and references to specific AI technologies. As technologies evolve rapidly, the site is not exhaustive in terms of available technologies, their applications, or their effectiveness. The site provides literature on ethical issues and advice on how to test and evaluate technologies. Users should expect to invest time in understanding how individual technologies work, testing their effectiveness, and ensuring transparency when using AI technologies in academic research, including understanding their implications.
