What can I, as an administrative worker, use generative AI for?

Before you begin, please be aware that generative AI is by no means flawless. Therefore, you should continue to use your professional expertise and maintain a critical mindset to benefit from these tools.

Remember:
Everything you share with the AI tool is shared with the rest of the world. So, never input personally identifiable or business-critical data or materials that others hold the copyright to.

Examples of administrative tasks you can use generative AI for:

1. Drafting wordings, presentations, etc.

- Generative AI tools can assist in kickstarting a task by generating a draft that you can work on further.

2. Proofreading text

- Use generative AI to check grammar and language formulations. NB! It still requires a thorough review for any potential errors.

3. Creating templates and standard documents

- Specify the fields to include in the template, and generative AI will help you proceed.

4. Answering standard questions from students and colleagues

- Use generative AI to formulate standard responses.

5. Optimizing schedules

- By analyzing past data on teaching, exams, etc., generative AI can help develop more efficient plans.

6. Translating documents

- Automate your document translation between different languages using generative AI.
However, keep in mind that you are still responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the translation.

7.Identifying patterns and anomalies

Generative AI can analyze large datasets and identify patterns or anomalies. This can be useful for system monitoring and as background information for administrative decisions.

8. Automating routine tasks such as data entry, information management, and report generation.
- NB! Never input personally identifiable or business-critical data. Everything you share with the AI tool is also shared with everyone else.
