A posting is considered a secondment if you spend at least 28 days in the same place and stay overnight. It must be reported in a different way than regular work-related trips and expenses.
Find answers to the most common questions about the financial aspects of secondment below:
During a secondment, you will generally receive hourly and daily allowances.
The hourly and daily allowance is a fixed amount to cover your ongoing expenses for food, drink and other minor expenses.
If you do not council your residence in Denmark during the posting, you are not considered "travelling" and therefore cannot receive hourly and daily allowances.
For postings in Denmark or the Faroe Islands, the hourly and daily allowances are appointed by one quarter and one sixth respectively from the 29th day.
You can be reimbursed for reasonable additional expenses for rent when you are posted.
