Student Activity Support Pool: A new opportunity to enhance well-being and the study environment

From inspiring speech to reality

By SDU Education, , 8/29/2024

At the 2023 Annual Celebration, board member (student representative) Niclas Vellier Nyegaard gave an inspiring speech about how a single 20-kroner coin could make a real difference to the students’ well-being and study environment. The Rectorate listened, and we are happy to announce that the requested DKK 1 million Student Activity Support Pool is now a reality! The first application round opens on 1 September 2024.

The Student Activity Support Pool was created to support initiatives and events created by students for students, contributing to a strong and vibrant student life. We hope that everyone with direct contact with students will help spread the word to all of our students.

Worth knowing about the Student Activity Support Pool

The funding pool of DKK 1 million is distributed annually in the project period 2024–2027 in portions of DKK 250,000 per quarter. The Student Activity Support Pool is funded by the Executive Board’s Strategic Pool but administratively anchored in SDU Education, Student Services, where they look forward to receiving the students’ applications.

Head of Student Services Rikke Winther Revsholm awards the grants based on recommendations from a panel consisting of a student representative and two Student Services employees. Any grants of more than DKK 100,000 are awarded by the Pro-Rector.
