Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics (IOB)

IOB provides a large part of the teaching on the following programmes:

Sports and Health (bachelor)
Sports and Health (master)  

Clinical Biomechanics (bachelor) 
Clinical Biomechanics (master)

Physiotherapy (master)

But teaching also takes place in other programmes such as medicine, welfare technology, and the European master’s program in Health and Physical Activity.

On IOB-intra (our intranet), we have a page with teaching information. We would like you to read through it before you start teaching.

On this information page you can find the following information:

• principles for planning of teaching,

• examination administration and examination plan,
• work hour accounting,
• data protection in students’ independent tasks.

 

Itslearning is a learning platform that SDU uses to plan teaching, etc. Each module/course has their own course room where the teacher can upload course material, etc.

When you are going to teach a subject, you will be attached to the course room.

Anyone with an SDU email address can log in at https://sdu.itslearning.com
Choose ‘Log in with Office 365’ (your SDU username and password).

SDU offers various (free) courses in educational pedagogy such as guidelines for teaching, presentation, develop questioning for teaching, use of video, AI, and much more:

The Lecturer Training Programme is an individually planned in-service teacher training programme for university teachers

The programme aims at strengthening the participants' educational and pedagogical skills. The programme is mandatory for newly appointed assistant professors at SDU. The Lecturer Training Programme (LTP) is also offered to associate or full professors who do not have any university training education. With a few exemptions LTP is not offered to postdocs.

Before you start teaching at the Sports and Health programme, we would like you to read the “Guide to Module Teams”. It is located on IOB-intra under Teaching. Here you will be able to get most of your questions answered in relation to teaching and exams at Sports and Health.

You will be connected to a Teams room when you are going to teach at Sports and Health. The Teams room is called “Teaching - Sports and Health”. Here you will be able to find allocation schedules, meeting minutes, and other information. If you have not been connected to the room, you can contact Ulla Rytter or Kirsten Munch.
