User testing gives you users' honest reactions. Learn how to prepare, conduct and follow up on testing your pages at SDU.
Why do we do user testing at SDU?
User testing is a key method in SDU's work with usability. By involving users early and often, we ensure that our solutions create value for the people we are created for: students, employees, partners and citizens.
Term definition
- User test: A test where users complete tasks on a website while we observe and ask about their experiences.
- Question guide: A structured list of introduction, warm-up, tasks and closing questions.
- Think aloud: A method where the user says out loud what they are thinking while using the website.
- Moderator: The person who controls the conversation during the test.
- Observer: The person who notes observations and quotes without influencing the user.
