Business and Social Science's newsletter

Welcome to the faculty newsletter

By Hanne Søndergaard Birkmose, dean at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences

The world around us is changing rapidly, and as a Faculty we play a central role in creating knowledge, perspectives and solutions to complex societal challenges. We do this through relevant and current research and by putting our programmes and business collaboration on the agenda. As a faculty, we represent a number of different disciplines, each of which brings a different perspective to solving the societal challenges we face.

To succeed, it requires that everyone is well informed about the strategic priorities and the many ongoing and new activities across departments and campuses. With this newsletter, the faculty management team wants to strengthen internal communication and create a common platform where we share knowledge, inspire each other and visualise how we together contribute to the development of society - regionally, nationally and internationally.

The newsletter will strengthen the general level of information for both administrative and academic staff and complement our other communication. The goal is a transparent and continuous flow of information for everyone at the faculty.

In the newsletter, you will find content about prioritised areas and strategic decisions at SDU BSS that we believe everyone should know about. We communicate on several platforms, but the newsletter is for you as an employee at SDU BSS, where we focus on the quality and value of what we do every single day. We will share good, major news, news from the research environment, strategic educational initiatives and strategic management communication.

The newsletter is a platform where we highlight initiatives across subject areas, communicate common interests and raise awareness of what's going on at SDU BSS. In other words, the newsletter should contribute to collaboration, strengthen the community and our common identity.

In the coming months, the newsletter will also be used to communicate about the business school process, which will affect us all regardless of model. Right now, we are waiting for the board's decision and when needed, we will supplement with emails directly to you.

Enjoy the content!
