Generative AI

Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence = artificial intelligence) is a branch of artificial intelligence that generates new content based on existing data. Using advanced machine learning algorithms, generative AI deciphers patterns in existing text, images, and numerical data, and, based on this, generates new text.

The many tools for using generative AI, such as ChatGPT, can function as a communication partner. When you pose a question, a so-called 'prompt,' the tool uses the patterns it has been trained on to suggest a response.

When used correctly, generative AI is a valuable tool for streamlining and automating administrative tasks. However, along with its capabilities come a range of pitfalls and security risks that it's important to be aware of. We hope this site will become a place where, at SDU, we can collectively gather useful knowledge and insightful experiences regarding the use of generative AI in an administrative context.
