In the coming period, you will receive an email generated by Microsoft if you own a Teams or SharePoint site that has been inactive for more than 6 months.

Wi-Fi via eduroam

Certificate for network access, including eduroam, changes on 15 September 2026 – check whether you need to update your setup

SDU IT is replacing the certificate used for network access at SDU. It is used for the wireless network eduroam and for the wired network. On most IT equipment purchased and managed by SDU, SDU IT has changed the certificate automatically. If you use an SDU-managed Windows computer, Mac or iPhone, you therefore generally do not need to do anything. If you use Linux, Android, private equipment or other (research) equipment that is not managed by SDU, SDU IT may not be able to change the certificate automatically. You must therefore update the setup yourself, depending on how your device is configured.

From April 15, 2026, SDU will cease offering Microsoft Office for use on private equipment and on computers not maintained by SDU IT, and existing licenses will be cancelled.

Data Protection in Copilot

Information about Copilot and Data Protection

All employees and students at SDU have access to Copilot Chat as part of our Microsoft agreement. Microsoft has also started embedding Copilot into more and more of their products. It began in some versions of Outlook and, in the new year, will also be integrated directly into Office suite products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
