Educational Communication
What do we focus on?
Referring to the faculty’s strategic objectives and vision, the department will, through targeted event and communication initiatives and based on “The Student Journey,” focus on:
- The relevance, visibility, and promotion of our programs to the surrounding local, national, and international community.
- Providing information to our students, particularly regarding transition phases and relevant initiatives throughout their studies.
Our Development Focus
With a continued focus on providing high-quality service, leveraging our professional expertise, and developing and optimizing our solutions, we will work on the user journey on our recruitment and educational websites. More specifically, we will also work on a new governance structure, a new organization, and our roles and responsibilities in the web area. Special attention will further be given to our bridge-building activities with SDU Take Over, which span across all SDU campuses.
With declining youth cohorts and an increased need for targeted communication, we also place a greater focus on our marketing campaigns and channels (local, national, and international), our budget, and an optimized in-house production of creative materials.
Through close collaboration with the department’s stakeholders, both within and outside the faculty, we will work on strong communication and storytelling about our programs, for both full-time and part-time areas, that is contemporary and meets the needs of our target groups. This requires constant attention to new opportunities and initiatives arising within our portfolio areas: internationalization, admissions, and the entire continuing education (EVU) sector.
Not to be forgotten – while we maintain a steadfast focus on delivering excellent results, we also continuously aim to develop both our individual professional competencies and our abilities to tackle “tasks in the middle of the table.” We believe that the best results are achieved through what we call the “CC approach” (Communication and Coordination) – applicable both internally within the department and with all our stakeholders and partners.
