Educational Quality and Development Unit

What we do

In the Educational Quality and Development Unit, we work across a broad spectrum of tasks in educational and organisational development, with a focus on educational quality, project management, process optimisation, digitalisation, and compliance:

  • Educational quality work/Assurance of Learning — with a particular focus on supporting the Vice Dean for Education in the annual cycle of educational status reports and educational development meetings
  • Providing data on educational programmes, including programme and teaching evaluations, student-facing surveys (the Danish Student Survey and the Study Environment Survey), and various analyses of teaching activity
  • Implementing the quality policy in close collaboration with the Dean's office and relevant stakeholders across the faculty
  • Process and project support across the faculty, including advisory services, facilitation, and follow-up
  • Hands-on, targeted support for teaching staff, along with the sharing of good practice in teaching delivery
  • Raising awareness of relevant IT and AI tools to support teaching, including itslearning
  • Supporting the sale and delivery of courses and consultancy services tailored to specific target groups (revenue-generating activities)
  • Building competencies in AI, so that teaching staff and employees are well-equipped to use new technologies in a skilled and responsible manner
    Implementing and optimising IT systems across the faculty in close dialogue with the wider SDU organisation
  • Providing general staff support to the Vice Dean, programme directors, and parts of the faculty administration
