Digitalisation & Compliance

The Faculty of Business and Social Science actively works with digitalisation as an integrated part of both teaching and administration. The Educational Quality and Development Unit develops and disseminates best practice models for teaching delivery and digital support for broad use across the faculty.

This includes raising awareness of relevant IT and AI tools as well as competency development within AI, ensuring that academic staff and employees are equipped to use new technologies in a qualified and responsible manner.

On the administrative side, work is also being done to simplify and automate larger data tasks that are currently handled manually. By mapping workflows and leveraging the opportunities provided by automation tools, time is freed up for other tasks.
In addition, work is ongoing on the implementation and optimisation of IT systems at the faculty, in close dialogue with the wider SDU organisation, as well as knowledge sharing on best practice use of IT tools for administrative support.

Compliance and information security are an important part of the digitalisation work. This involves ensuring that the faculty meets applicable rules and requirements in this area, and that personal data and information are handled responsibly and in accordance with university policies. Digitalisation tasks are handled broadly by various staff members within the Educational Quality and Development Unit, while Christian Hurup Spile serves as the unit's specialist in GDPR and Information Security.
