John Chemnitz says goodbye after 50 years at SDU
After more than 50 years of dedicated service at Odense University and later the University of Southern Denmark, and having made a major contribution to the degree programmes in medicine and clinical biomechanics at SDU, the time has come to say goodbye to Associate Professor and medical doctor John Chemnitz.

Thank you for 18 years as dean, Ole Skøtt!
After 18 years as dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Ole Skøtt stepped down on 31 August. Last Friday, colleagues and partners officially said goodbye to him at a reception at SDU. But Ole Skøtt is not leaving the university altogether.

New date for the closure of SDU’s print shop
The print shop service at the Graphic Centre will continue for a further two months than originally planned, before an external supplier takes over the service on 1 March 2027. The postponement has been decided to ensure a well-tested and smooth transition to the new supplier.

To mark SDU’s 60th anniversary, three new quotes will be added to the staircase area around Interstitiel, the column by sculptor and painter Jørn Larsen in front of SDU’s main entrance.
