All employees must have an SDU work e-mail

To ensure access to necessary systems and accurate working time registration, all employees at SDU, including student assistants, must have an SDU employee email.

HCM is SDU’s master data system for all employees. HCM is set up so that all employees must have an SDU (employee) email as the primary email in the system. This applies to all employees – technical-administrative staff, academic staff, part-time lecturers, student assistants etc. An SDU email provides an SDU user account (AD account), which gives access to a range of systems that employees at SDU need to use.

One of these systems is the time registration system mTIME. mTIME will be implemented across all faculties during the autumn and will replace Timesheet as the time registration system for hourly paid student workers. Through mTIME, there is also integration with the payroll system, so the hours can be paid out. For security reasons, it is a prerequisite for registering hours in mTIME that various student assistants have an SDU employee email. Therefore, it is necessary to create an SDU employee email for all student assistants. A student email is not sufficient.

It is Payroll (SDU HR) that in collaboration with Research Service Economics (FSØ)and HR Digital helps with the creation and implementation of the mTIME solution for student assistants at the individual faculties.
