Workplace Assessment and Well-Being Survey 2024

We need everyone to contribute to a good physical and mental working environment and high well-being. An important contribution is to participate in the Workplace Assessment and Well-Being Survey and contribute to a constructive dialogue about the results.

In this video, Rector Jens Ringsmose talks about the importance of the workplace assessment process and the importance of the working environment for SDU.

Framework of the workplace assessment:

It is a legal requirement in Denmark that we must continuously assess our work environment and decide how to address risk factors and any problems with the work environment.

Every three years, we must identify the work environment throughout the University. This is a highly prioritised process at SDU, starting with the Workplace Assessment and Well-Being Survey in autumn 2024 and running until spring 2025.

The Workplace Assessment and Well-Being Survey is anchored in a steering committee with representatives from the University’s management and employees, the general occupational health and safety committee and central liaison committees.

The workplace assessment process:

  • The Workplace Assessment and Well-Being Survey is conducted as a collective questionnaire survey from 8 October to 31 October 2024.
  • At the end of November, SDU receives reports communicating the results of the survey. The reports are made available to all employees.
  • Until February 2025, results and possible initiatives to develop and improve the work environment and well-being are discussed by managers, employees and health and safety groups.
  • The results are also discussed in health and safety committees and liaison committees at faculties and in the Central Administration, in SDU’s new campus health and safety committees and in the general occupational health and safety committee and the Central Liaison Committee, as well as by the Board of SDU.
  • By the end of February, all units will have identified focus areas to the liaison committees and health and safety committees of the respective faculties/Central Administration.
  • By the end of April, the unit’s timetable and action plan will be ready. Timetables and action plans are made available to all employees.
