SDU HCM is a cloud-based system solution that can manage HR data and support the employee journey from recruitment to offboarding. SDU HCM is based on Oracle Fusion, which is a cloud-based application platform similar to Microsoft 365, and includes HR modules. SDU has implemented a number of applications such as ORC (for recruitment processes), Absence (absence management), HCM Core (for handling employee master data) and ERP (for financial administration), and will implement more parts of the Oracle application suite in the coming years to get a coherent system support for the university's HR processes.
SDU has a system community with other universities on HCM, which has been acquired by KU, AU, DTU and SDU. The universities are part of a joint collaboration on the system under the auspices of the ØSS collaboration.
SDU has previously had many small subsystems, but not a common system. Several small subsystems have been closed or will be closed. SDU is generally switching to cloud systems because they are easier to maintain and provide increased security.
