Academic staff and PhD students at the Department of Molecular Medicine can apply for funding from the study trip account.
You can find the application form here.
The activity must always be registered in PURE.
Available support:
- A maximum of DKK 18,000 per year may be granted – potentially divided between several trips.
- Support is not provided for accommodation, meals, or transport to/from, for example, hotels or the conference venue, nor for trips that have already taken place.
Applicant prioritisation:
- PhD students
- Assistant professors/postdocs and research assistants with more than one year of employment
- Associate professors, professors, and clinical associate professors
Applicants must be employed at the Department of Molecular Medicine at the time of both the application and the planned travel.
Funding criteria
The study trip account supports the following purposes:
- Participation in scientific conferences and symposia within the applicant’s research area, with documented active contribution such as an oral or poster presentation. The applicant must be the sole presenter of the work. (The application must include the conference programme and, if applicable, an invitation to speak, the abstract, and proof of abstract acceptance – this can be submitted later.)
- Serving as a chairperson at a scientific conference or symposium. The event must be relevant to the applicant’s research area. (The application must include the conference programme and an invitation to serve as chair.)
- Travel related to clearly defined and well-documented research projects. This typically applies to early-career researchers travelling to learn or apply specific techniques or methods that will be used at SDU or in their own research area. (The application must include documentation and a one-page description of the purpose and content.)
- Trips with a specific educational focus, where the aim cannot be achieved otherwise and is relevant to the applicant’s teaching responsibilities at SDU. (The application must include documentation and a one-page description of the purpose and content.)
Funding opportunities from the PhD School
PhD students at the Faculty of Health Sciences may also apply for funding through the PhD School.
The PhD School offers funding for study stays abroad but not for conferences.
