Dimensions takes a more inclusive approach than traditional databases and therefore offers broader coverage. It is possible to search across multiple content types such as publications, grants, clinical trials, patents and policy documents. The Dimensions database has a focus on the links between the different data types. It is possible, for example, to review the funders or grants behind a publication, or identify where published research led to a patent or a mention in a policy document.

SDU Analytics has purchased a license to Dimensions and has ensured that the license can be used by all SDU employees. SDU Analytics is not able to provide support on the use of Dimensions and it is as such a self-service. Should the need for support arise then it is possible to create a support ticket directly with Dimensions in the top panel in the system.
